God of Hope Fill You With All Joy

Sometimes it might not make any sense to trust the Lord, but trust Him anyway.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

Start this new year off right by exploring the word of God. For the entire month of January, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #JOY. Biblical joy comes from the Lord. The Bible says "the Joy of the Lord is my strength", so how do you maintain your joy in a fallen world? Stay connected to learn more.

“Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright,” Psalms 33:1

Joy January 21, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

There are so many expressions we use in this world; that make no sense. Why do we park on a driveway? We drive on a parkway. We ship things by car and other vehicles that don't travel on water, and yet we call things being transferred on a ship cargo! Go figure! How about that? Do you realize that there are interstate highways in Hawaii, even if you've never been there; you know that Hawaii is made up of Islands. Truth be told we tend to think less at times when it's good to think more, and more when we should give it to God to resolve the problem. He's an omniscient God!

The Bible says “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Those of us who God has declared to be righteous have a joy that's only found in Christ. Praise is what we do because we can cast all of our cares upon Him! “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life,” Proverbs 13:12.

I had the opportunity years ago to look down at the City of New York from the Empire state building. Everything looked small from up high. Yet, when I was on ground level; everything seemed so big looking up at them. We serve a God that sits high all of the time and looks low. Nothing's too big for Him to handle! The Wise writer Solomon said, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5. Sometimes it might not make any sense to trust the Lord, but trust Him anyway. Praise the Lord! "Rejoice in the LORD, all ye righteous; for praise is comely for the upright." What are your thoughts? Psalms 33:1
