God is Developing Your Patience

God takes uncomfortable circumstances faced in life and uses them for His glory

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of March, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the HOLY SPIRIT, the third person of the Trinity. Jesus said "I will pray the Father, that He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;" What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Stay connected to learn more.

The Bible says “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience” Romans 5:3.

Holy Spirit, March 24, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Any seed that is planted in this world has to be watered for it to develop into what it is designated to become. It also needs to be under the sun to give it the energy that only can come from the sun that it needs to develop to its fullest! One of the fruit of the Spirit that people don't like to water is longsuffering. It is self-explanatory because the seed of patience develops over a lifetime. One who is filled with the Holy Spirit goes through this process like a negative in a dark room. A negative film lives up to its name because there's a lot of it that hasn't developed yet. It doesn't appear to be valuable because it doesn't appear to have anything of value to display simply because it hasn't gone through the entire process yet. Like a negative in a dark room, God wants us to go through dark situations with others as He develops the picture of patience. The Bible says “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience” Romans 5:3.

God takes uncomfortable circumstances faced in life and uses them for His glory. While waiting on the Lord; He is actually strengthening our faith in Him. It could be a spouse and you find yourself in a dark place in your marriage. It may be a job that you're on, and it appears like you're getting nowhere. It might be a legal matter that you have been involved in for a long period. You're in the darkroom of life, but when God is through developing your patience; you're going to be seen in the light and what a beautiful picture that's going to be, praise God!” and patience, experience; and experience, hope” Romans 5:4. What are your thoughts?
