God Hates Sin, But He loves the Sinner

In today's Daily Devotional, we are going to expound on the unpardonable sin, and that is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. God hates sin, but He loves the sinner. If He didn't love us; none of us would be saved, because He wouldn't have sent Jesus to die for us. The Bible says" When they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened" Romans 1:21.

Notice that the Apostle Paul says "foolish," which speaks of nonbelief! We like to box this passage, but it's talking about more than practicing homosexuals! He proceeds to say that "God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;" A reprobate mind is an unapproved or a rejected by a God state of mind. The singer-songwriter Billy Joel wrote the song” A New York state of Mind” and he was trying to convey that he had New York City on his mind. Believers in Jesus Christ should be conveying that we have Jesus Christ constantly on our minds! But the Lord will not force us to think about Him consistently as we should. When God releases a person to believe whatever they wish, they have been officially drafted by the devil.

The devil was the Co-pilot for a while, but when a person disrespects the Holy Ghost and His power in a person's life; the devil now is operating the control panel in their spiritual cockpit. Spatial disorientation occurs when a pilot's vision is impaired, and it usually happens while traveling through clouds or a storm. He can't tell if the plane is upside down or right side up. He has to rely on what the instruments are saying. A person who has blasphemed the Holy Ghost; has to rely on what they feel is correct! Lord have mercy on their souls! “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man. It shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” Matthew 12:32. What are your thoughts?
