Fullness of Joy

You cannot have Christ abiding in you without having joy.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

Start this new year off right by exploring the word of God. For the entire month of January, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #JOY. Biblical joy comes from the Lord. The Bible says "the Joy of the Lord is my strength", so how do you maintain your joy in a fallen world? Stay connected to learn more.

“I will praise thee, ;for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvelous are thy works; And my soul knoweth right well.” Psalms 139:14.

Joy January 31, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

If you had the opportunity to live in a home that was already paid for; would you accept it? Yes, this is a rhetorical question. Yes, I’m sure you would. If someone else lived in that home before you, and they left things out of order I believe that you would straighten it up! You wouldn't want to live in a messy house, would you? There would be some serious interior decorating going on up in there, and I believe that it would be done with joy! If you've had the opportunity to move into a new home it's an exciting time. You add your personal touch and certainly want everything in an order that's pleasing to you. “Let all things be done decently and in order.” I Corinthians 14:40.

If you've been born again; you have now become a new home that was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. He moved in and immediately began doing some interior decorating to His liking. Everything He does on the inside is with joy! "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." John 15:11. You cannot have Christ abiding in you without having joy. It’s always a great therapeutic tool to listen to uplifting music while cleaning our homes; as it brings joy while we work.

In the same way, the Lord has joy inside of our hearts as He works on us! The Word is Christ abiding in you and that's His Love! Obedience to His Word is Love in action. As this is performed our joy is made full! “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalms 16:11. What are your thoughts?
