You can be free, and still be governed by boundaries

This Sunday people all across the country will be celebrating Mother's Day. I believe that mothers should be honored every day, and God's Holy Word support's that belief. With that being said, throughout this upcoming weekend I will be talking about mothers! A mother is significant in the lives of most of us. She carried you for nine months more than likely. There were 3 trimesters and so she had time to end the pregnancy, but she didn't! Good bad or different, we are to honor our mothers and mother figures! "My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother" Proverbs 1:8.
A law is a boundary. You can be free, and still be governed by boundaries. In a basketball game, you're free to dribble the ball and shoot at any time that you believe you'll score. If there were no boundaries, you could go into the concession stands dribbling the ball, and play wouldn't stop. That's chaotic and you know it. We didn't like the rules that Mothers laid down for us to follow, but I believe that as we matured; they make a lot more sense now! What are your thoughts?
