"Jesus, the King of Kings had joy in giving His life so that we could have Eternal life."

Joy January 8, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Today is the birthday of the said king of rock n roll Elvis Presley. People including myself have visited his gravesite at Graceland, and people from all over the world probably will be there today as well. People remember the joy that his music and entertainment skills brought them. Even today, people still listen to his music, watch his movies, and concerts, and still are positively moved by them! Maybe there is someone else who has impacted your life. Maybe it's a relative, friend, or public figure. Perhaps it's someone else who has passed on and left a legacy to follow.

There are many kings that have passed on in this world. Michael was the king of pop. BB king was the king of the blues. The king of comedy Richard Pryor is gone. The king of ballads Luther Vandross," Well alright." is no more! Aretha Franklin certainly was the Queen of soul and she receives all our Respect! The pun was intended. Who had a more powerful voice than the original Queen mother of the Negro Spirituals Mahalia Jackson? James Brown is the godfather of the soul and he too has impacted many people's lives. Muhammad Ali was the greatest! With the greatness of these people and the contributions they made to society; their abilities didn't give you Life! These kings aforementioned, you can find their remains buried somewhere.

Jesus, the King of Kings had joy in giving His life so that we could have Eternal life. I get joy when I think about; what He’s done for me. The Bible says "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him; endured the cross despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the Throne of God! Hebrews 13:2. What are your thoughts?
