The Bible says “A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his feet.” Proverbs 29:5

Today is the day set aside to celebrate Flag Day. It is a day that commemorates the official accepting of the stars and stripes as part of the United States of America Flag. The red, white, and blue have different meanings representing freedom in our Country. The Daily Devotional today will be about a different flag. It is about the flagging down of women in this Country and abroad and the methods that some guys use to do it. I am so proud to be a man and God made me no more or less than who I want to be as a man. I am blessed to be married to the most naturally beautiful woman in the world to me, and I have been blessed to have two outstanding gifts from her and that is my daughter and my son.

Gentlemen, when we are attracted to a woman; that is natural and it’s ordained by God to feel that way, but there is a specific method to get her to date you that should always be used. That method is to always be truthful with her. Too many guys want to flag a woman down and flaunt with her and say what a woman wants to hear. The latter is totally appropriate as long as we are being truthful. Some people have adopted the idea that it’s fine to flatter and say whatever a lady wants to hear to get a date with her. The Bible says “A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his feet.” Proverbs 29:5

In other words, you are setting a trap for yourself when you flatter. What’s worse is flattery is a form of manipulation. A person with a lower self-esteem than they portray feels more powerful and confident when using this method. They prey on the emotions of a woman and rather flattering words have some truth in them or not; their purpose is deception. The man using flattery is not being truthful and more than likely ladies; he has a hidden agenda including to have intimate relations with you before marriage. A man who sincerely wants to share his life with you will make a commitment. “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (Outside of) the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” I Corinthians 6:18. What are your thoughts?
