"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He tempt any man." James 1:13

Do you know the difference between being tempted and being tested? Most Christians know that God doesn't tempt us, and that temptation comes from the devil. Temptation is what we yield to when we fall into sin. God obviously doesn't do that because He doesn't want us to fail! "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He tempt any man." James 1:13. What you've got to love about God is that He gives us tests every now and then. He's the kind of teacher that we all loved when we were in school. Why do I say that? Because His tests are always an open book. The answers to every test we are given can always be found in His Word, praise God! But some people are fearful of reading and studying the Bible. Fear of not understanding God's Word. Studying it is a wonderful thing.

It is a wonderful thing to be free in Jesus Christ! Jesus says of Himself, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36. Only Jesus Christ can truly free you, and no other person in the world can. If you are in a ministry or part of an organization that consumes your every waking moment, leaving no time for your spouse and loved ones, I implore you to lend me your ears. Should a leader instruct you to not be on social media and discourage you from having a close relationship with your natural family, recognize this as a form of bondage!

If an organization or leader offers guidance solely based on personal opinions, devoid of biblical foundation, and demands your obedience over God's Word, be aware that a cultic spirit is actively at work and is in full operation. I urge you to take this warning seriously and diligently study God's Word for yourself. There is no need to fear that you will lack understanding if you faithfully follow the instructions of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Remember, God's Word is the ultimate authority in all matters. Jesus says “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26. What are your thoughts?
