Draw Close to Jesus

Thy faith hath made thee whole.

This December, we're embarking on a special spiritual journey centered around the true reason for the season – our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ! Join us as we delve into daily devotionals dedicated to exploring the life, teachings, and profound love of Jesus.

"When she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched His garment" (Mark 5:27).

In today's Daily devotional, we will be continuing our discussion on the greatest name, Jesus Christ, and His power to heal. In some of our preceding Daily devotionals, we have been speaking about Jesus healing by laying on of hands. We have also discussed other ways that the Lord heals people, including speaking the Word! We recently spoke about Jesus rebuking demons. As you may be aware, they are on assignment to cause havoc and sickness in our lives.

Today, we will be discussing the subject of Jesus healing through someone touching Him. Perhaps you have heard the story in the Bible about the woman with the issue of blood. The Bible says, "And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse" (Mark 5:25-26). Whenever you choose other methods besides going directly to the power source, that can be the reason why there is a delay in your healing.

You can spend all the money in the world, but if the Lord is not involved in whatever methods you utilize, it is just a waste of both time and money. The woman with the issue of blood was persistent in her pursuit of healing. She pressed her way through all obstacles that potentially could have held her back from getting close enough to Jesus. "When she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched His garment" (Mark 5:27).

To touch Jesus and be healed, you must be willing to draw close to Him. When you draw close enough to Him to be touched, He will heal you! "And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague" (Mark 5:34). What are your thoughts?
