Do You Remember When You Gave Your Heart to The Lord?

It's a joy to lead men and women to Jesus Christ.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

Start this new year off right by exploring the word of God. For the entire month of January, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #JOY. Jesus said ‘And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that all which he hath given me I should lose nothing but should raise it again at the last day.” John 6:39

Joy January 19, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Do you remember when you gave your heart to the Lord? It was the highlight of your life because you now have been guaranteed eternal Life through Jesus Christ. Not only do you now have eternal life in Heaven, but the Abundant Life you were given begins right here on earth. You now have the joy and assurance of knowing; that no matter what adversity you face in this life, Jesus will always be with you. You can "cast all your cares upon him, for he careth for you! I Peter 5:7.

It's nice going on vacation with the family, and I try to get away as often as I possibly can. Regardless of where my destination may be; the trip wouldn't be the same without my family with me. It's nice to have your loved ones with you, and how about the people you meet while you're having a good time vacationing? At some point, all of the good times on vacation must come to an end. This world is simply just a vacation. It's temporary and you have your family with you for a short time. You have your friends with you for a short time. You have your foes with you and perhaps it would not be a bad deal for it to be for a short time. But the trip I'm talking about is a permanent destination. This trip is from earth to Heaven!

The Bible says “ The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9. Sure we want our loved ones with us on the vacation to Heaven. But why would we want anyone to be lost eternally? I don't want to go on vacation without my family, but I don't want anyone left behind! Jesus said ‘And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that all which he hath given me I should lose nothing but should raise it again at the last day.” John 6:39. It's a joy to lead men and women to Jesus Christ. It's a joy to snatch another soul from the hands of the Devil. A soul that he thought he had. It's a joy every day for those of us that are witnesses for Christ, to be used in that fashion. Oh yes, "there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." Luke 15:10.
