“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Psalms 1:3

Blessed November 3, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Life is about decisions, and with decisions come consequences. The consequences can be good or bad, contingent upon whose advice you adhere to. To be blessed is to be empowered to prosper, and only the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the application of God's Word gives us favor from God!” Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.” Psalms 40:4.

No one but God knows everything and is an expert on everything. No one is omnipotent but God Himself. He has the power to perform all things, and when you know Him He becomes active in your life to give you victory. “Now unto Him, that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Ephesians 3:20. Psalms 1 says "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly." This is the"A" clause of the Scripture and it's speaking about consulting people who are not Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, or Spirit-fed. The advice they give isn't Biblical, but emotionally based.

When your delight is in the law of the Lord, you are blessed because you're empowered to prosper. You are not comfortable, nor do you make yourself comfortable around people who will encourage you to make unrighteous decisions. He meditates in the law of the Lord. What you roll over in your mind will eventually take root. When God's Word takes root; you're blessed and highly favored! “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Psalms 1:3. Yes, you are blessed!
