As I am preparing for a special Service in my life later today, I have been reflecting on the men and women of God in my life that have poured into me. My Dean from Southeastern University Dr. Bob Houlihan has been such an inspiration; a great teacher and a mentor for me. He has supported me and the vision the Lord has given me nearly from the conception of the Ministry. He has traveled the World preaching the Gospel and has impacted many Spiritual Leaders all over the World!” A man’s gift maketh room for him, And bringeth him before great men.”Proverbs 18:16.
I remember Pastor Watley from Macedonia AME Church in Flushing N.Y who impacted my life many years ago now. I joined the Church under his ministry because I believed in him, and he appeared to be sincere and passionate about how he delivered God's Word. I knew very little about God back then, but I honored this man without hesitation because of what I observed about him.
After I gave my heart to Jesus, I started attending Brooklyn Gospel Tabernacle in Brooklyn, N.Y. Today it is known as Brooklyn Tabernacle. There isn't another Pastor who impacted my life more than Pastor Jim Cymbal when it comes to how to live for Christ and summonsing God's anointing, (The paraclete) in a Service. He praised God in a way of total surrender and I wasn't accustomed to seeing a man do that. Because of the impact that he made on my life, a lot of what the Lord hasn't given me to do here in Florida was sown in my heart I believe from way back then. It's people like this true Man of God that may not even remember me that make it natural to honor them!
