Do you really know how much God wants to be honored? God will allow unexpected occurrences to happen in people's lives to get their attention. Satan didn't want to honor God and eventually after he was lifted up in pride, he was kicked out of heaven.” And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. ”Luke 10:18.
I'm sure that we all have met people that we thought would never honor God. To our surprise, we have lived to witness it. Some of the stoutest-hearted people that you will encounter in life, will eventually honor Him. As a matter of fact, everyone is going to honor the Lord, one way or the other!” that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth; and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”Philippians2:10-11.
Everyone may not serve our God in heaven here on earth. As the songwriter said” It may not be the devil, or it may not be the Lord, but you’re gonna have to serve somebody!" Remember when Pharoah refused to let Israel leave Egypt? After he changed his mind and decided to free them; he and his host decided to track them down at the Red Sea. You know the story; Pharoah and his army saw a miracle before their eyes as God split the waters for Israel to walk across them. When the Egyptians attempted to cross it, the sea closed in on them. I imagine that honoring God empowers us to breakthrough!
” And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharoah, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharoah, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.” Exodus 14:17-18 What are your thoughts?
