“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” Ephesians 6:18

April 12, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Nearly everybody has a caped crusader that is considered to be their favorite. It's no hidden mystery that mine is Superman. Did you ever wonder why Clark Kent never wanted his real identity to be known by the world? Did you ever think about the fact that he was the one who reported the news, but didn't reveal the fact that he was the hero? Have you ever wondered why he didn't just rescue people in plain clothes? Why did he feel a need to change into his Superman wardrobe; before fighting the enemies of life? To answer the first question regarding his hidden identity: he didn't want the glory that would've come with it. With regards to changing his clothes to fight the enemies; it gets a little more interesting.

When someone was in trouble, and Superman knew about it; He would go into a solitary place to change his clothes. When a Superman, or Superwoman in Christ knows that someone is in trouble; we should go to a solitary place. Jesus went to a solitary place to pray at least six times including after He had healed Simon Peter’s wife who had a fever. Afterward, He healed many diverse sicknesses and cast many demons out of those that needed to be delivered. Shortly after this, the Bible says “And in the morning, rising a great while before day, He went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Mark 1:35.

No doubt our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was exhausted and set the example for us to go to our solitary place to pray especially during those times, but as often as it comes upon us to. That place is our War room, and that's where we should consult the Lord who gives us the supernatural enablement to defeat our enemies and help others in the process, praise God! “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” Ephesians 6:18.
