The Bible says "Give us help in trouble: For vain is the help of man” (Psalms 60:11).

Yesterday, our daily devotional discussion was about the possibility of a believer coming from under the power of the Son! The Word of God firmly established that once a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord, they cannot lose their salvation. However, today we will explore another aspect that warrants our attention: can a believer lose the power of fellowship?

To illustrate this, I often recount a personal experience of driving out of town on I-4, heading east from central Florida. During these journeys, I make it a point to tune in to my favorite radio station, which nourishes me spiritually as I travel. However, as I gradually distance myself from the tower where the broadcast originates, the signal weakens. It begins to fade in and out until, eventually, it is completely lost. Although I haven't changed the station, I find myself unable to receive the spiritual nourishment I once did because I have ventured too far from the source of those uplifting messages.

The power comes from the Lord, and even though He continually speaks to us, we cannot hear Him. I have heard people say, "God doesn't speak to them!" Some people will convince themselves that He is not speaking in their lives, but they do not want to accept the fact that sin has clogged their spiritual ears from hearing Him. It has been discovered that dogs have exceptionally good hearing, but the farthest a dog can hear is a mile away. Spiritually, it's the same concept when we distance ourselves from our help. The Bible says "Give us help in trouble: For vain is the help of man” (Psalms 60:11). When you are too far away from the Strong Tower, it’s you that moved. God is speaking, but you should be fearful because you have temporarily lost fellowship with Him! “The Name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10). What are your thoughts?
