Call God First!

Your family, friends, and familiar associates have no answers for you.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

“The Word is what gives us strength, especially in dire situations."

Hope February 2, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

When you're going through trials, tests, or tribulations, it's unnatural to be of good courage. You need strength and all of yours is just about gone. Things are looking dim and there's no light at the end of the tunnel. The only light that may be in sight is an oncoming train! Your family, friends, and familiar associates have no answers for you. You're overwhelmed with fear because there's no one you have reached out to that can help. It's like the story told about a woman who made a poor investment; she trusted the wrong person and lost all of her money in her 401K. She called the Better Business Bureau and told them about her error. The Better Business Bureau's immediate response was: why didn't you call us for advice before you made such a poor investment?

God is saying; why didn't you call on Me first. I could've advised you then! Is there a Word from the Lord? The Word is what gives us strength, especially in dire situations. Every time you read it you get strength. Every time you hear the Word, you get strength. If the Word becomes a lifestyle for you; you're armed and extremely dangerous. When you apply the Word that is written and heard in your Walk with the Lord the Living Word (which is Jesus Christ Himself) makes demons cower in your presence! The unfruitful works of darkness no longer have power over you or your thoughts! The reason being is that your hope is in Jesus Christ who is Lord in your life and not in you or anyone else who will cause you to lose heart! "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." Psalms 31:24. What are your thoughts?
