Do you ever wonder why most people will defend their family members? When you say or do something to offend someone in their family; they'll go ballistic! Yes, those are fighting words. People don't like others hurting their families.
You can be upset with them, but you don't want anybody to hurt them. You can say negative things about them, but you won't stand for an outsider to do it. The reason being is that God has placed a special love for our family in us. This is known as the Storge love. Your family is a part of you. You have the same blood running in your veins.
That's where the adage" Blood is thicker than water comes from." Doesn't blood have more weight? The love runs deeper and when you have a good relationship there's even more of a bond! The love for your family is something you were born with, and it develops as your relationships with family members continue. What are your thoughts?
