In today's daily devotional, we will continue our discussion on the subject of awakening to your specific calling. Yesterday, I shared a bit about my personal calling to the ministry. To be honest, the thought of becoming a preacher and taking on the tremendous responsibility of being a pastor had never crossed my mind.
God has called me by name on several occasions and revealed His plans for me and how He would work through me. It was a unique and personal experience of being called, and every individual should be grateful to the Lord for the uniqueness of their own calling. Regardless of our occupations, we are called to let our lights shine as we fulfill our calling in the workplace and wherever we go. This is the most powerful way to witness to the world.
Remember that your calling is the primary way in which God uses you to draw people to Him. "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall" (2 Peter 1:10). What are your thoughts?
