Certain people in this world when they speak you listen. It's like the old EF Hutton commercial; "When EF Hutton talks people listen." Remember when they got to that point in the commercial; everyone remained in the position they were in without moving! The person that was representing EF Hutton got everyone's attention. No one dared to move or comment because EF Hutton had the floor. The reason is EF Hutton had earned everyone's respect and they valued what he had to say! The Lord is wiser than Solomon and as a matter of fact, He's all-knowing. Why would you not give Him your undivided attention at all times? The Bible says "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James.1:8
The reason the Word says this is because a person who is not rooted and grounded in God’s Word is open to listening to opinions that are contrary to it. These opinions will cause you to error and that’s why we should always meditate on the Word. Silver is a very valuable commodity in this world. Precious metals are grounded and polished and this is known as the jewelry sweeps in processing silver. The dust created from this process is smelted and refined to obtain pure silver. The dross rises to the top when silver goes through the fire, and everything that's not valuable is eliminated. After being tried it's pure, and its value rises.
