Integrity is what and who God knows you are!

For the entire month of August Powerzone ministries will be diving deep into the topic of temptation. What exactly is temptation? We'll be exploring what it means and what the Bible has to say about it all Month long!

Apostle Paul says, "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

Have you ever been tempted to lie? If your answer is no, I can declare that you just did. This devotional will also help you if you were contemplating saying no. Yes, the Apostle Paul says, "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). People who haven't experienced a renewal of the mind naturally think this way. It's commonplace not to take ownership of wrongs. Generally speaking, we are concerned with how people perceive our character to be, and we should. But the key to it is integrity! A reputation is what people think about you, as I have noted in the past. Integrity is what and who God knows you are!

If you and I are not honest with each other, we are being deceptive and allowing people to believe a false narrative. When a person truly loves you, they are in love with an imperfect person, and true love does just that. The Apostle Paul says, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). As the Lord showed us this kind of love, knowing our faults, we are to display that same love to others, even knowing their faults!

Feelings will tell us not to do that. Feelings will tell us not to admit when we are wrong. The mind says they will not "like me or accept me" because of my faults. It's tempting to be dishonest, but the Holy Spirit will always guide you into all truth. When people lie, they always have to remember the story they first told, and it usually begins a barrage of tales. But when you are honest, the truth is what it is, and it will set us free! "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). What are your thoughts?
