"And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace" Ephesians 6:15

April 25, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Have you ever applied for a job and wondered why they had a dress code? Most establishments I venture to say have dress codes that employees that desire to work there are to adhere to. The reason is that the organization is more than likely attempting to make a statement to the public. Another reason why there are dress codes is contingent upon the assignment or task called upon, for the position held to be completed: the uniform worn will give you the very best advantage in being successful in achieving those goals. Would you go fishing wearing your Sunday best shoes? How about going ice skating wearing sneakers? Ever try to bowl without having on bowling shoes? How about going mountain climbing with high heels on ladies? Doesn't make much sense does it?

Every part of the Armour of the Christian is important. We need to be covered from head to toe, but the footing is what is going to keep your feet studied. You wouldn't want to be in a battle with your laces untied either? You want to be confident and secure! And having your feet shod is primary in being equipped for Spiritual warfare. Having your feet shod means having them covered securely. That's why the Egyptians drowned in the Red Sea. They didn't have God's power, presence, or preparation for battle. They had on the wrong shoes! The Christian is always prepared for battle and ready to share the Gospel that always promotes peace in every situation. You have peace with God and the peace of God. The world sees nothing but Jesus and Him crucified in every situation you face, praise God. “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:15. What are your thoughts?
