Do you know anyone that was born with a pure heart? Regardless of how holy grandma, granddad, mom or dad might have appeared to be, they weren't born that way. As great and humble as Dr. Martin Luther King was, he was not born with a pure heart. Dr. Billy Graham who the Lord has used to bring perhaps millions of people to Christ; was not born with a pure heart either. The Bible says” For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23.
The Bible says that "There is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good and sinneth not." Eccl. 7:20. Only Jesus was born without sin and never sinned throughout His earthly life. Now the next question posed is how do you obtain a pure heart? Jesus, Himself said during His earthly Ministry “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” St. John 3:7.
To receive a pure heart, you must be born again. He will regulate your heart. In other words, when you normally would be governed by your emotions; you now are governed by the Word that is hidden in your heart! You desire to do what The Bible instructs you to do because you have a new heart from God. The Scripture says “the pure in heart shall see God." Does that mean that you'll see God in Heaven?
You will, but that's not what the Scripture is referencing here. It's talking about when your heart is without guile, you can expect God to operate in whatever dilemma you might face. Yes, you'll see Him in full operation in whatever trials, tests, and temptations you may face in life. Praise God! “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God! Matthew 5:8. Don’t you want Him with you at all times? What are your thoughts?
